He was always very outspoken and excitable, but back then he was at least more even handed about it. Sometime around the 9/11 attacks he went over to the darkside and became another right-wing nut jobber. If Monson really thinks what he says he's got to be an idiot, but I seriously doubt he believes half of it. If he really voted for Al Gore in 2000, but now claims the global warming is a hoax, something's amiss. He probably saw right-wing hate talk as the road to high ratings, and started slanting his rantings in that direction. I've lost any respect I ever had for him, and never listen to his program anymore. I used to listen to Monson during the 90s as well. What did it for me, was tuning in on my way to work just hours after they announced Senator Kennedy had passed away. Dori Monson's topic of his show was all focused on a negative take down of Senator Kennedy with the Chappy incident etc. Ok, all facts are on the public record and is fair game, but some incredibly poor taste on Dori's part to have this as his discussion topic hours after the guy died. If he was at least as Fox news would put it was "fair and balanced" maybe he would of mentioned all the good things he has done in his career.......When Dori hits age 65, is he going to reject Medicare because it was legislation from Senator Kennedy? I'm actually surprised he hasnt risen further in the conservative radio world, because he sounds reasonable but is still utterly convinced of his suburban troll think. I've called in a few times when he was on, started sounding like him to draw him in and then went sideways on him. It was fun. Other than that, I never listen to KIRO anymore. Now its off of AM, but AIr America isnt. Dori is just another loser happy to spend trillions for war and corporations, but wont spend a dime on people or society.
