Bush doesn’t really care about gay marriage, says friend
Newsweek Magazine: says that George W. Bush doesn’t really worry that much about gay marriage. It’s strictly a political move that he introduced the gay marriage amendment yesterday:
“One of his old friends told NEWSWEEK that same-sex marriage barely registers on the president’s moral radar. “I think it was purely political. I don’t think he gives a shit about it. He never talks about this stuff,” said the friend, who requested anonymity to discuss his private conversations with Bush.”
What a relief! The President isn’t anti-gay at all. Instead he is a fucking hypocrite who will do anything to help keep the Republicans in power, even if it involves victimizing 10% of the population of his country, not to mention wasting our time in a frivolous attempt to amend the Constitution. Not to mention tying up the government of the United States for days to debate this phony issue, when they could be doing something worthwhile perhaps, like ending the War in Iraq or fighting terrorism. Sheesh.
I bet we all feel a little better now!

Newsweek magazine is correct. Bush could care less about this non-issue. He’s simply pandering to the conservative base. But yes, he is definitely a hypocrite.
